Talk of the Town Parties is run by myself, Jennifer Combes.
Growing up on the beautiful east coast of Scotland, I spent my childhood exploring the glens, lochs and beaches, whilst making lists of wildlife I had spotted and playing out adventures with my friends!
I carried this love of nature into my adult life where I earned a BSc in Biology and then further Postgraduate qualifications in wildlife conservation. I enjoyed my time teaching as a qualified science teacher and then teaching about animal conservation with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, based in Edinburgh Zoo. From giant pandas to lion feeding to snake handling I loved it all!
I also enjoyed trying out life as a real explorer participating in many different wildlife conservation projects, from sleeping under the stars in the rainforest to Munro bagging, to counting bats in a local woodland project here at home.
Now as a mum of two, I am loving my new passion for fabulous eco friendly stationery with gorgeous & stunning designs and I truly enjoy helping others to make their big day as special as my own wedding was!
I have always adored stationery of all shapes and sizes, though my love affair with wedding stationery probably began back in 2008 when I painstakingly cut, stuck and crafted all of my own wedding stationery.
Thankfully with technology making things a bit easier, all of my designs are now carefully created by myself, from my beautiful home by the sea in Scotland. And many are inspired by my own little adventures I’ve had along the way.
Nowadays, in my free time you are most likely to find me going for country walks, pond dipping with my boys, building castles down at the beach or continuing to make my wildlife spotting lists -some things don’t change!!!
